Edwin Glenn Reed was born on a beautiful cold day on January 21, 1951 in Texarkana, Texas to the proud parents Eva and Ester Reed Jr. The young family made a move to Houston, Texas where Edwin attended primary and middle school and eventually graduated from M.B. Smiley high school in 1969. After graduation Edwin followed in the footsteps of his father and became a lineman for Houston Lighting and Power up until his retirement. Edwin committed his life at an early age to the Worldwide Church of God and also attended community Christian Fellowship Church.
Edwin was a charming man with a great appreciation for cooking, good food and music. Although he was a popular loner and spent a lot of time to himself, Edwin was man that was very friendly, very loved and very respected by many.
Edwin was preceded in death by both parents Ester Reed Jr. and Eva Ruth Reed as well as one sister Emma Reed (Kathy).
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Reginald Glenn Reed (Tamekia Reed), along with their children, Reginald Reed Jr. Myles Reed & Dylan Reed. 1 daughter Kimberly Reed along with her children Paris Burks, Jaylon Reed, Payton Reed and Jyron Reed. 4 brothers Kenneth Reed (Trina) Donald Reed (Donna) Stephen Reed and Gerald Reed and 1 sister Jackie Houston (Jimmy Houston).
Also three loving aunts Molly Gary, Dorothy McDowell, and Wilma McGraw. As well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and family and friends. Edwin will be remembered by all that knew him.
