Edwin J. Hesketh

Edwin James Hesketh, beloved father of Christopher, Lynette, James and Robin Hesketh and grandfather to 9 loving grandchildren died in his sleep in Houston on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the age of 94. He was born in Easton, England on July 28, 1923. Mr. Hesketh graduated from Bristol University with a degree in geology, worked in the British Admiralty during the Second World War and had an eventful and satisfying career in the petroleum industry, working in many countries including Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Venezuela before finally settling in the Houston area. In Houston he married Betty Hesketh, became a U.S. citizen and enjoyed his last years playing golf, tending to his garden, caring for his wife and being with his large extended family. Edwin Hesketh will be remembered fondly by his family and friends and will live on in their thoughts as a loving man, father and grandfather who tried to do his best in life and gave much to his family and society. Mr. Hesketh was pre-deceased by his wife Betty in 2016. He is survived by all his children and grandchildren.
