Edwin Herman Dossman Jr.

Edwin Herman Dossman, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas on September 14, 1939, and died March 11, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Penney Watters Dossman. He is survived by his three children, Corrie Marie Dossman, Edwin Herman Dossman III, both of Houston, and Penney Lee Burgess and husband, Geoffrey J. Burgess, and grandson Geoffrey J. Burgess, Jr. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Ed leaves one aunt, Mrs. Bertha Manning, a sister, Mrs. Pat Kubin and husband Charles, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Ed graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1957 and after attending San Angelo College and Lamar Tech University on football scholarships, he transferred to Sam Houston State University. While there, he was Chapter President of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Economics, cum laude, in 1963. Drafted into the United States Army, he graduated from Officer Candidate School, Ft. Benning, Ga., and commissioned a II Lt. in August, 1964. Mr. Dossman spent a lifetime in the Houston Brokerage business.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Drive, Houston, Texas 77024 on Friday April 1, 2016 at 10:30AM to be followed

by a reception at the Community Center. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Edwin's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 11720 Joan of Arc Drive, Houston, Texas, 77024.
