Edward Whitehead of Katy, TX passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the age of 74. He was born on February 8, 1949 in Corning, NY and grew up in Emporium, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Letourneau University with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He went on to work in customer support at BMC Software. He enjoyed politics, football (The NY Giants), and the New York Yankees. He also loved his dogs and treated them like his own children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mable Whitehead and his brother Floyd Whitehead.
He is survived by his son Eddie Whitehead, daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Ryan Layne, granddaughters Chesa and Lana, and his four brothers.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Amarillo VA for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the family at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on Friday, December 8th beginning at 9 am followed by a funeral service at 10 am and interment at 11 am.
