Edward Rodriguez Sr.

Edward Rodriguez Sr., age 60, of Humble, Texas passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022. He was born in Richmond, Texas on September 15, 1962 to parents Frank Rodriguez and Isabel R. Rodriguez. He met Melissa Martinez in Houston, Texas and they spent 31 wonderful years together. Edward was a construction manager for 40 plus years. He had a passion for baseball and coaching. He loved sports and was a die-hard fan of the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. Edward was the ultimate family man.

He is preceded in death by his mother Isabel Ryan Rodriguez; uncle Raymond Reyes; cousin Sostenes “Sonny” Ozuna; long life friend Sandra “Sandy” Molina.

Edward is survived by the love of his life Melissa Martinez; children Elnora Rodriguez, Edward Rodriguez Jr., Marisa Martinez, Jessica Martinez, Annaleisa Rodriguez, and Samantha Rodriguez; grandchildren Matthew Ibarra, Natalie Rodriguez, Angie Rodriguez, Edward Rodriguez III, Nikolai Hernandez, Noey Gonzales, and Esmeray Chavez; siblings Carlos Rodríguez, Rosie Rodríguez, Margareta Rodríguez-Torres, Robert Rodríguez Sr., and Caroline Rodríguez.

A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Brookside.
