Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 1, 1941 to Edward and Mabel McCormack, Ed graduated Fenn College as a civil engineer and worked in that field for over four decades before retiring to take it easy (which he never did). His passions were hunting, fishing, and being with family. Ed was also a proud member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas.
Husband and best friend to Tina, father to Ed, Dave, Pat, Mike, Danny and Shelly. Step-sons and wives, Tony and Ester, Greg and Teresa, Homer and Gina, and Angelo and Ann. Grandfather to many grandchildren. Ed lit up a room and made everyone around him smile. His humor, compassion and long-lived insight left everyone who met him with an unforgettable impression of a great man. His family misses him every day and will forever hold their memories of Ed as a husband, a father, a grandfather, a teacher, a coach, and a friend.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mabel McCormack, and his brother Robert.
A visitation will be held for Ed on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. with rosary service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Road, Houston, Texas on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with committal service and inurnment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
