Ed passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024 after a brave battle with kidney cancer. He was born in Detroit Michigan and moved to Houston in the early 1980’s after earning his accounting degree at Wayne State University.
He served his clients as a CPA for over 40 years. He loved consulting with them on business transactions, and often about their personal matters, treating many as if they were family.
He loved traveling to explore new places with his children and wife, Marie, attending his boys’ sporting events, fishing, golfing, cooking, spoiling and teasing his dogs and spending time with family.
He always cared about others first, though that didn’t prevent him from an occasional practical joke.
He was loved and respected by many friends, clients and staff.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Edward and Connie Kaminski and infant son Daniel Kaminski.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Marie Brown Kaminski; sons: Zeb and his wife Bridges, and Luke; brother and sister-in-law Daniel and Patty Kaminski; Uncle Jerry and wife Judy Jozwiak; cousins in Michigan; and brothers-in-law Jim (Charlene), Tom, Chris (Linda), and favorite cigar smoking buddy, Mike Brown.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support and meals over the last couple of years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the American Cancer Society, Houston SPCA, or the charity of your choice.
Service will be on Friday December 20th at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077.
