Edward Hernandez, 29, passed away peacefully at his home in Houston, Texas on May 25, 2018.
Eddie Hernandez was born in West Covina on February 17, 1989; raised in Los Angeles; schooled at Azusa High School before completing his education through the Job Corps. He moved to Houston, Texas when he was 15 years old and began the journey that positioned him to be such a great provider. A generous family man and entrepreneur, he had an ambition and focus to create the best opportunities for his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy Ariza and his grandfather, Edmundo Ariza.
He is survived by Laila (Daughter), Katie (Wife), Jessica Paz (Sister), Anthony Gonzalez (Brother), Gilbert Hernandez (Father), Milagro Ariza and David and Gerry Rodriguez (Grandparents) and a multitude of family and friends.
Edward Hernandez represented home for so many of us – his warmth has been our shelter; his generosity our life jackets; and his consistency our anchors. If you ever found yourself fatigued by the weariness of the world, refuge could always be found at his doorsteps. He was heroic with the care he extended to the people in his tribe and practiced a radical, spirited zeal in pursuing the gift of life.
He brought light to the many lives around him and his contagious laugh will be greatly missed. The sharpest guy in the room, he never lost sight of the humor in our everyday lives. Eddie was known for his compassion. He went above and beyond to make those around him comfortable- anyone who met him automatically felt like they knew him.
Eddie’s legacy will live on through his daughter, Laila Monroe Hernandez, who he lived for, would have done anything for, and who his whole life revolved around.
