Edward was born on March 14, 1933 in Bunkie, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Edmond and mother, Elizabeth (Slocum) DuBroc, and two sisters, Anna Johns and Ruth Dyer, all of Bunkie, LA.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife of 59 nine years, Isabel (Boulier); two sons, Michael (and wife Marsha) Boulier of Presque Isle, Maine and Martin (and wife Diana) DuBroc of Fulshear, TX, two daughters, Sharon (and husband John) Sharadin and Gayle DuBroc, all residents of Houston, TX, and a brother, Gerald (and wife Diane) of Lafayette, LA. Edward was a proud grandfather of Billie Jo (Boulier), Mathew DuBroc, Samantha Nicholson, Crystal, Cynthia Sharadin and Kaci DuBroc. He also had four great grandchildren, Colby, Morgan, Sierra, and Everett. He loved his numerous nieces and nephews as well as brothers and sisters-in-law scattered throughout the country.
Edward served his country for four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War where he was stationed in Limestone, Maine and Fairbanks, Alaska. Edward dedicated 41 years of his life working in the oil industry. His work included living in 5 states and traveling to more than 28 foreign cities and countries. He retired from the oilfield in 1999 and enjoyed retirement while working at the Jersey Village Golf Course Pro Shop.
Edward wanted to acknowledge Dr. George Keith, his pulmonary specialist, for his care and compassion throughout the years. Dr. Keith’s service and comforting care are also greatly appreciated by his immediate family.
Edward will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow.
