Edna Louise Bass, a life long Houstonian, passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 96.
Edna worked for over 40 years at American General in Houston and retired from that company. It's now known as AIG.
She married George Bass in 1969 and was happily married for 29 years. She belonged to AARP for many years and loved to travel.
In January 2024, she was hospitalized, then transported to a private care facility in Huntsville, TX, near her son's home, where she passed away. She received wonderful care from Benchmark Home Health. Tameka Edison and Jessica Brock were her hospice caregivers.
Edna is survived by her son, Eric Cooper; her grandson, David Cooper; and great grandson, Tyler. She is also survived by her stepson, Jim Bass, who is a minister and who will preside over the service.
