Edith was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Maxie Pearson, as well as her siblings and their spouses.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Allen; Son, Eric Pearson and wife Melinda; daughter Dianne Pearson and partner, Michael Wishnow; and special family Robert and Maggie Laird; grandchildren: Gwendolynn Halverson and husband, Brian; Shawna Laird-Brush and husband Zackary; Christopher Allen, Evan Pearson, and Jordan Pearson; Jason McCallay and wife Heather and great grandson, Kaleb Allen; great granddaughters Heidi Halverson; Bella and Kenzy Winwood, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Edith was raised on the family farm in Central Texas. She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School. During World War II, she attended Seton Hospital School of Nursing and started her Registered Nursing career at Seton Hospital in Austin, Tx. She worked at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Houston until she retired.
Edith’s legacy goes far beyond nursing. She was generous with giving of herself to her family, friends and community. Her family was of the utmost importance to her.
Edith was devoted to her faith and was a long time Parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She was always very active in her church groups: Catholic Daughters and New Generation Senior Group.
She loved to travel with family and friends throughout North America and around the world and enjoyed many wonderful adventures.
Although her family mourns her passing, they celebrate her rich life and caring and loving heart.
