Eddie Lopez

Eddie was born March 16, 1934 in Waco, Texas. The son of Santiago and Antonia Lopez. On March 16, 1955 Eddie and Mary Lopez were united in marriage, enjoying over 63 years together. Eddie was part of the United States Air Force for 20 years and then spent another 20 years at the Federal Aviation Administration.

After retirement he faithfully enjoyed reading the newspaper every morning with a cup of coffee and sitting in his garage watching the action on the street, talking with neighbors and airing up basketballs and bicycles for the kids. His grandchildren brought him much happiness in life. Eddie was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife Mary; children, Albert Fernandez, Eddie Lopez II, Michelle Kirkpatrick, Linda Lopez; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael Lopez.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas, 77038. Following the Memorial, Eddie will be placed to rest at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas, 77038 at 2:15 p.m.
