Eddie "E-Rok" Lee Flores Sr.

Eddie “E-Rok” Flores Sr., age 39 of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 19th, 2022. E-Rok was born July 15, 1982 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Crystal Flores, their one son Eddie Flores Jr. “Lil E-Rok” his mom Alvetia Zepeda, his stepdad Anthony ‘Tony’ Sanchez, two brothers Rene Zepeda ‘Kepo’ and Hector Flores and spouses, Alexis Marie Zepeda and numerous nieces and nephews, mother and father-in-law Sarah Rincon-Mendoza, Jose Mendoza, Johnny Arispe Sr., Ruby Arispe, brothers-in-law Drew Rincon and spouse and Johnny Arispe. If you had the privilege of knowing Eddie, then you knew he was truly one of a kind. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love for life and a firm understanding of what was important — the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Eddie didn’t have the easiest life and despite him being away for 16 years he had no hesitation to come home and take charge of his new life and build with his family. He was the type of person to make a decision and nothing would stop him. In the years that he was away he always stayed involved with his family, he learned French just because Lil E-Rok took classes in school, he read multiple books with his wife, he learned different cultures, languages, etc.. just to be able to relate with the people around him. He was very ambitious, strong willed and always aimed for more. He had goals and dreams to start a clothing business. Eddie wanted to take care of his family and be there for those that were there for him. When people are born, they are assigned a soul mate. People doubt young love will last but Crystal & Eddie are best friends. “He loved her like a back alley hooker loves crack” Their love is unique, it’s strong, it wasn’t easy but they made it work. No one can begin to understand the connection they had but in their 20+ years together, they lifted each other and fought to keep their family together.

A visitation with family & friends for E-Rok will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. A reception will occur Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Steeplechase Community Center, 11250 Steeple Way Blvd., Houston, TX 77055.
