Eddie Marie Clow

Eddie Marie "Big Monk" Johnson Clow was born on January 17, 1941 to the union of Rose Marie Johnson and Joseph Johnson Sr. in Marshall, Texas. Eddie Marie received her formal education at Phyllis Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas. Eddie Marie accepted Christ at twelve year of age, and then baptized by Rev. Jesse E. Green, Sr. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Houston, Texas. She joined the 5th Ward Chapter of the Eastern Stars at the age of 17 1/2 years old. Sister Ethel West took her in as a young Eastern Star. Eddie Marie united in marriage with Richard T. Clow, Sr. In her leisure, she enjoyed working in the yard, visiting with her family, friends, and most of all talking with her beloved "Mr. T," oldest grandson. Eddie Marie departed this life on June 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Johnson, r.; mother, Rose Marie Johnson; brother Joseph Johnson, Jr.; sister, Mabelene Evette Johnson; two sons David Clow and Baby Boy Clow. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Richard T. Johnson; two daughters, Nekitha Carey; Lorna Renee Clow (Donald Charles); five grandsons; two granddaughters, eleven great grandchildren; four brothers, three sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
