Dwight Lee Williams, after a short battle against cancer, gracefully passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at home, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Tina Marie Williams, his son Dylan Williams, his daughters LeaErin Hurley and Brandy Trahan, and his grandsons Kolbe and Brayden Trahan. Dwight is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Garner.
Dwight was born February 29, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and moved to Texas in his adolescent years. He retired from Cameron OneSubsea as a Key Account Manager in March 2018, after 37 years of dedicated service.
Dwight was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and truly lived life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to the movies, bird hunting, creating poems for his wife, and spending time with his family and friends. He was extremely competitive at all of his favorite games; Cornhole, card and dice games, Dominos, and remained undefeated in Ping Pong. He pitched for Slo-Pitch City’s softball team, Spirit, where he met his wife Tina, 27 years ago. Together, they cherished the many vacations taken over the years with their family and “The Gang”.
A Celebration of His Life is scheduled for Wednesday, October 17th, at Heights Funeral Home, Waltrip Room, 4 pm – 7 pm.
Dwight was always the life of the party and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
