Dung Thi Phung

The funeral service is at Garden Oaks Funeral Home at 13430 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, TX 77083 on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4PM to 8PM. The following day, Friday from 9AM to 11AM, cremation will start at noon at 2454 South Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX. Dung Phung will be resting in peace at Chua Phan Luan.

Dung was born in Pleiku, Vietnam, Dung Thi Phung is a beloved wife to her late husband Dung Nguyen. A mother to the late Hai Nguyen, Thuan Nguyen, Thu Nhien Gonzalez, and Hoa Nguyen.

Dung is a proud mother, grandmother, and a diligent worker as a customer service and seller. Dung has a love for gardening and cooking, shopping, and spending her time with her family and grandkids.

In March of 1994, Dung migrated with her family to the United States and settled down in Houston, Texas. After settling down Dung worked as a customer service at Hoa Binh Supermarket for 10 years. Then she worked as a vegetable producer at Cho Tanh Binh for another 5 years. Dung worked to provide for her family and put her kids through school. Dung teaches her kids how to prepare traditional Vietnamese holidays. Dung also teaches her children to be self-efficient, to cook, and how to take care of themselves. In her spare time, she likes to garden, try new food, and crotch clothes.

Dung had ongoing medical conditions, but she still worked and took care of her family until she could not anymore.

Dung leaves behind her son Thuan Nguyen, her daughters Thu Nhien Gonzalez, and Hoa Nguyen, and grandkids Angelinda Gonzalez and Esau Gonzalez.

Dung may have parted this world very suddenly, but we will keep her memories alive in our hearts and minds.
