

Drannan H “Dan” Wheeler, 75 yrs, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2010. He was born in Wakefield, TX on January 16, 1935, the son of Edward Jeffie Wheeler and Elvey Inez Christie Wheeler, both of whom preceded him in death. Also preceded in death brother, Edward Jeffie Wheeler Jr. and sister-in-law, Mary Kathryn Hightower Wheeler and brother, Emmanuel L. Wheeler.
Survivors include brother, Argle C. Wheeler and sister-in-law, Emilie Ann Zapalac Wheeler, sister-in-law Lovie Turner Wheeler; daughter, Christine Wheeler of Jersey Village, daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Jeffery Parkman of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Wheeler and Cheryl Wheeler of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Wheeler and Lori Wheeler of Kingwood; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are his grandsons: Craig Clack, Keith Lamberth, Clinton Lamberth, Robert Wheeler, Austin Wheeler and Brandon Parkman. Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Parkman and Mark Lamberth.
Dan’s parents moved to Cleveland, TX when he was 2 years old and he graduated from Cleveland High School in 1953. He then moved to Houston and went into business for himself. His business is known as Dan Wheeler Wrecker Service, Inc., and is still operating today under his two sons.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX, 77060. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home followed with a burial at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, TX at 3:00 p.m., where Dan will be laid to rest.
