He was born April 2, 1943 in Bastrop, Louisiana.
Doug had a long career in being a butcher for numerous retail grocery chains and had a love for his kids, baseball, grandkids and the outdoors.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sister’s and 2 sons (Darren Davis & Ray Davis).
He is survived by his wife Susan Blair Davis, 2 daughters Sherry Craig & husband Mike, Theresa Davis & fiancée Mike, 3 sons Tooter Davis & wife April, Bubba Davis & wife Jennifer and Shawn McCleney. Doug also had the privilege of enjoying 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The family will have a private ceremony with a few friends on July 29, 2020 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
