Sister Dorothy Lanelle Watson was born January 1, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Fred and Audrey Walker. There, she attended public school and graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School. She devoted her life to Christ at an early age and was a former member of First Shiloh Missionary Baptist under the Late Pastor, Rev. John Roberts. Dorothy then joined Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully, until her health began to decline, as President of the Mass Choir and with other auxiliaries of the church under the pastoral leaderships of the Late Rev. A.D. Harris, Rev. Floyd Johnson, and current Pastor, Rev. G.T. Curry, Jr. Dorothy met and married Gayle Watson and together they reared two children, Saundra and Deidre. Dorothy lived a very exemplary life - she was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, sister and friend to many, until a heavenly angel visited her and led her home on January 6, 2015. She is preceded in death by loving parents, Audrey and Fred Walker. Dorothy leaves to cherish her precious memories two daughters, Saundra E. Walker and Deidre L. Davis (Ben); she was blessed with ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Goodman (Cynthia) and Louis Walker; three sisters, Donna Robinson (Harry), Alma Sneed (Tony), and Leslie Williams and a host of relatives and friends.
