Dorothy Mae Olsen was born on October 24, 1930, in Taylor, Texas, to Ernest and Esta Penkert. Dorothy and her Husband have lived in Houston among their friends and caring neighbors since 1956. Dorothy passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010, at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Olsen of Houston daughter, Karen Davis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; son, Dana and his wife Becky of Sugar Land, Texas as well as grandchildren Cody Davis, Jessica Davis, Kevin Olsen, Kyle Olsen, great granddaughter Aubrey and other loving relatives. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm, Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
