Dorothy Faye Kelley

Dorothy Faye Kelley age 93, passed away January 8, 2018, in Katy Texas. In the last months she had many health issues that contributed to her passing, but she had lived a very long, healthy and happy life.

Born June, 26, 1924, in Sugarland Texas, she graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in Houston Texas in 1941. Dorothy married Lt. Roy Kelley on August 26, 1943. She was married to Lt. Colonel Roy D. Kelley for 68 years, and survived him by almost 7 years. In a sense she also served in the Air Force, moving some 20 time during his career. She is a past President of the Missouri City Women’s Club, and during her life she served as a volunteer in Air Force Hospitals, and on the boards of several Air Force Officers Wives Clubs.

Dorothy was predeceased by her father Samuel Gayle Deatherage and mother Oma Deatherage, and her sister Gail Elaine Reynolds. She is survived by her son Larry D. Kelley, his wife Mary Jane Kelley, and Daughter Patricia McBride.and her husband Desmond McBride. In addition she is survived by her three grandchildren, Denton Kelley, Alexander Bissias, and Michelle Bissia, and two great grandchildren, Dillon Reese Kelley, and Bailey Gray Kelley.

Visitation will take place Monday, January 15, 2018, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. A Funeral Service will commence on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1:00pm in the chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment immediately following the Funeral Service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
