Dorothy Mae Newberry Griffin “Cricket” passed away December 2, 2020. She is proceeded in death by father: Herbert Newberry, stepmother: Mittie Newberry, mother: Martha Crawford, stepfather: Jack Crawford, sister: Janette Hein, brother: Leon Newberry, son: John B. Griffin, Jr., son-in-law: Curtis Mizell
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 73 years: John B, Griffin, Sr., daughter: Dorothy Louise Mizell, Grandchildren: Cathy Pruett and husband Rusty, B.J. Mizell, Michael Mizell and wife Melissa, and Steffaine Griffin. Great Grandchildren: Hunter Fitch, Layton Fitch and wife Emily, Braely Fitch, Tanner Mizell, Ainsley Mizell and Cade Mizell. She is also survived by one Great Great Grandchild “ on the way” Jennings Glenn Fitch.
Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Mizell, Tanner Mizell, Cade Mizell, Rusty Pruett, Hunter Fitch and Layton Fitch. Honor Pallbearers will be John Schleider and Melvin Sheffield.
