Dorothy spent many years working in the automotive distribution industry. She enjoyed spending her free time taking on new crafting projects and spending hours behind her sewing machine. Above all else, Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed the time she got to spend with her grandchildren through the years.
Dorothy was greeted in heaven by her sweetheart of sixty-one years, Floyce T. Butler Jr.; beloved daughter Janice (Butler) Griffin; parents Jackson and Anna (Schmidt) Jones; and sister Ruth (Jones) Beard.
She leaves behind her children Jerry Butler and Kenny Butler. Left to carry on her legacy are her grandchildren Jeremy (Madeline) Griffin, Jeffrey (Suzi) Griffin, Jennifer Butler, Shawn Butler, Shannon Butler and Amber Butler; thirteen great-children. Dorothy also leaves behind her siblings Emmett Jones and Lavelle (Jones) Perin.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 30th from 2pm-6pm in the Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Services will take place Monday, August 31st at 10am in the Chapel with interment to follow immediately afterwards. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin, Jerry Butler, Shawn Butler, Bubba Jones, Josh Miller, and Colton Griffin (Honorary Pallbearer).
