Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Ron Ferrington officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Brookside Cypress Creek Funeral Home in Houston, Tx. and Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA.

Dorothy was better known to friends as Dot. When she and her husband Jr were not traveling with his work, they made Winnsboro their hometown.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter Bacle Jr; her parents William and Hattie Rollins; her four brothers and one sister; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She is survived by daughters Shirley & husband Michael Fontenot of Houston, TX and Beverly Kraft of Aiken, SC; her grandchildren Michael Jr & wife Celeste Fontenot, Kingwood, TX; Candace Beck, Baton Rouge; Shelley Laviolette, Lafayette; Joey Reeves, Aiken, SC; Tiffany Travis, Denver, CO; her great-grandchildren Lauren Cannon, Baton Rouge; Luke Cannon, Kentucky; Lauren Fontenot, Starkville, MS; Victoria Fontenot, Baton Rouge; Ryan and Mason Travis, Denver, CO. plus a host of extended family and friends.
