Doreen Lynn Swain England

Mrs. England was born July 7, 1945 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Howard Swain and Pauline Leach Swain; and was a long time resident of Houston, Texas; graduating from Bellaire High School in 1963.

Mrs. England was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve Swain; and husband, London England, Jr. She leaves behind her son Darren England and his wife May of Seattle, Washington; remaining siblings, David Swain and his wife Sherry of Waco, Texas, Fran Blair and her husband Roger of Houston, Texas, and Amy Clink and her husband Howard of Huntsville, Alabama.

Doreen was a wonderful mother and sister; and a constant presence in the life of those she touched. To her only son, she was the force that made him the person he is today and his everlasting hero.

The England family would like to give a special thanks to the The Hallmark in Houston, Com For Care Assisted Living in Houston, Hospice Plus in Houston, all the nursing staff who took great care of her in her final days of life, and especially Frank Hawkins who helped her spiritually through undoubtedly uncertain and precious days of her final time on earth.

A visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday June 16, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Fwy Houston, TX 77079 followed by a graveside service and post burial reception at the same location for anyone wishing to attend to celebrate her life.
