Mom
today is your birthday and I would do anything to have u here with me. I miss you more than anything. Everyone keeps telling me you served your purpose here on earth. But I am just having a hard time excepting that. :/ I wish you would come visit me in spirit. Alyssa talks to you all the time and when we say prayers she says something to you and makes me repeat it lol. We love you and miss you. Were happy sad and mad together. Alyssa is so smart. She told Trish that she could be like you for her but she can't be my mom. :) she is reading now you would be so proud. I don't know how im gonna make it through her teenage yrs without you. The only thing I can find comfort in is that I know we had such a loving caring relationship I always respected you and we had a great friendship. There is no one who could fill my void. Although there are a lot of people here. So today I work.... I know but I think about you your beautiful laugh and your love for me and mine for you. Please come to me for a short time I need you to comfort me. Life is confusing without you.

I have so many memories of my times with my dear friend "Donna Sue". I can still hear the way she always called me "Leslie Loo", even when she was mad at me. She was a wonderful woman with such a positive spirit and so much love. 
Kristin, it's quite clear where your strength came from. I am confident that your mom will still always be there for you, just in a completely different way now. Stay strong love.

I remember when aunt Donna would call me every year for my birthday and sing me happy birthday over the phone.. She was always the first one to wish me happy birthday. I loved that. And I would be anxiously waiting for her phone call.. After some years went by, I took it upon myself to call everyone and sing happy birthday for their birthday. She couldnt sing a note all tht well, but when she did sing, everyone would smile. Every christmas Aunt Donna would belt out "Have your self!...A Merry Little Christmasssss!" That was the best! We always knew Aunt Donna would be singung through the whole Christmas Gathering greeting everyone with the song. You can say, she was always in the Christmas spirit! I loved that about her. She made the family come together in a sense. I could always count on her for that. She was the person I could talk to about anything at all and she would either call me on my nonsense and be understanding at the same time or give me hug and tell me she was proud of me. I can still hear her laugh... I will never forget her laugh. It always brought a smile to my face. And her jokes were pretty hilarious too. My aunt Donna was my friend and it hurts my heart that she is gone. But I will cherish and keep our memories alive. Aunt Donna, I love you and wish you were still here with us, but I know you are with us everyday. In our hearts, and every night in our dreams. And every day in our prayers. your gone, but never ever forgotten.  Until  the day we meet again, xoxo..

Donna you are so truly missed by all our families. You would have been so proud at the memorial service yesterday. Kristin showed so much grace and dignity even though we all knew her heart was breaking. Thank you for all the strength, loving of family and friends to be carried on through Kristin and your beautiful granddaughter. You would have been so very proud as we all are. They are your legacy. Many endearing thoughts have been expressed and pictures posted of a daughter, sister, mother and grandmother who spent herself loving, encouraging and taking care of those she loved.  They paint a wonderful, loving picture of Donna Lynn, whose absence will leave an empty place in grieving hearts that only God can fill.  I remember a precious redhead who brightened my wedding so many years ago, serving as the most beautiful flower girl ever.  A sweet little girl, so innocent and shy.  I remember many family celebrations and picnics with laughs, games and fun for everyone.

To all who love, will miss and grieve for Donna Lynn, we must all take comfort in these truths from God's Word.  Donna is no longer hampered by the pain and troubles of this world, she is in the holy presence of God.

To be away from the body is to be at home with the Lord. 

We must find peace to meet the days ahead and know that we can see her again.

And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.

I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.  

Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.  In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  

We claim His Promises, standing strong, bold and courageous.  

The righteous perish and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Please take a few minutes to meditate on these words, finding peace, hope, comfort and strength.  Donna is not gone, just peacefully waiting for us to join her in God's Holy Paradise.

Kristin - I wish I would have known your mom better than I did.  Hearing stories about her and seeing all of the lives she impacted yesterday made we wish I would have been around her more! The times I was around her she was full of laughter and always fun!  Her love for you and Alyssa never failed to shine through. What a wonderful woman to call mom and Nonna.  I know she was who you reached out to and I know how close you were to her and none of us will ever be able to replace her, but we can be here to help you keep on smiling and try to make things easier.  Remember that we are all always here and I hope you are never afraid to reach out when you need us.  You have so much love and support surrounding you, don't be afraid to use it. I love you

Donna - May you fly high with the angels and visit Kristin often. I know you are in an amazing place right now and for the rest of your eternal life.  I wish I would have been around you more often, you were loved by so many and it was amazing to see how many lives you touched.  I can only hope I touch as many and that my celebration of life is half as big as your was!  You will be missed by so many.

I don't know Donna or the family but you had my prayers durin' and now after. May God help ease the pain.

I was the one who knocked on their door to invite the Watkins family to church. A bond was developed between our families as I saw all the kids come to know our Lord Jesus. Over the years our paths have crossed at various times. Dana, Scott, Donna and Patricia have always continued to love and respect me for taking an interest in their family. Donna is in Heaven today and I know one day she will hug me again. MY our Lord give to the family the grace they need at this time. Love Bob

Gosh, it is so tough realizing I will never see your face, touch your gorgeous red hair, or look into you beautiful blue eyes again and especially tough to never see you throw your head back and laugh.  Your laugh has always been the thing that I loved most about you. The thing I admired most about you was your love for children, most heartwarming was the way you loved your precious child, Kristin.  Your love and devotion to her to her shines through in all that she does and all that she has become.  You will be missed so much by so many, you were such a giving person when it came to taking care of family and friends who were ill or  just in need of a lil helping hand.  Our family will be sure to keep your memory alive for your sweet grandJOY, Alyssa.  I will hold your memory in a very special place in my heart and never ever forget you lil sister. It blesses my heart to know that I will see you again, until then I will always miss you...

You will always be with us...You definitely left a stain that can never be removed in my life. There is a special place for you in each of our hearts. I wish that when I left Texas, I would have known it was going to be our last good bye... though we huged, said I love you, as well as our good bye... I would of huged you longer, told you I loved you and done it with tears in my eyes. You were so special to more people than you will ever know Aunt Donna, you've touch so many, and most of all you did it out of love. I cherish all our memories spent, they will always stay with me... This loss is beyond words. I have no idea what you must be going through in losing what I think is the single most important compass in your life. I know your mom was that to you, her grand daughter, her mom and dad and brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and the rest of your family and with this loss comes so many layers of heartache. Please know my heart is open to giving you anything you might need during this time of incredible loss.

My heart aches for you and your family during this time. Your mother was such an amazing person and she will truly be missed. Donna was full of life and her way of careing, love, joy, laughter, her positive reflections and standing up for what you believe in are just a few of many things she has shared with you and the family. Oh Donna,I keep thinking I'll wake up and you'll be laying there next to me ready to take on our next day together. I thought we were just starting our life adventure together. You always showed me such love. You made me so happy. I'm so proud to be your friend and lover. You showed me how to love eveyone with your big heart. Your passing has left a huge hole in my heart. I will fill it with the memories of you and cherish them forever. I pray the lord to make me strong through this but my heart is breaking. I will always love you alot alot. I know you are in a better place and hope that some day I will join you.

 So many great memories I will hold dearly in my heart! I am truly grateful for the time spent, the laughter, the advice, and they way Donna made me feel so welcome in the family.
 
I  spent my birthday with Donna and she was so upset that God hadn't let the Broncos win, she felt like God had missed an opportunity to show that prayer works. Donna said " I am not sure what God's thinking, I know He has a plan, and even though it's not what I would have done, I know His plan is good, but what could be bigger than the super bowl, just saying!" 
...And that is what I am left feeling now, Donna!
 
Kristin, your Mom is in Heaven, proud of you and all the decisions you made and how you handled yourself in the hospital and how you take such great care of Alyssa, just like she took such great care of you. My heart hurts so much for you, Mom Maw and everyone but I can only pray for your comfort and tell you all I love you very much. 

The landscape of our lives has changed drastically... until we meet again!

Donna, I haven't gotten to see you since I was younger, however I have lots of great memories of you! You were a beautiful woman and a great mother. I wished that I could of lived closer to you all so I could of seen you more cousin. I know you are walking them streets of gold and spreading them beautiful wings! I love you Donna, you left a mark on many peoples lives and you will never be forgotten! R.I.P. cuz!

My niece Donna,
I am truly saddened by my niece's passing.  I still see Donna as a little girl with her younger sister Dana.  Though I didn't see her often enough, she imputed a wonderful spirit and everyone would agree she had an awesome servant's heart.  She always made me feel comfortable and welcome.  Hearing of her heart problem, I instantly went to the Lord in prayer, asking for not only complete healing but for our God to show his glory in Donna.  God chose to take her home with him where Jesus promised to prepare her a place in his father's house not made with human hands eternal in the heavens.  I rejoice in knowing she has received her awesome hug from Jesus and heard him say “Job Well Done Good and Faithful Servant”. Come in!  She is now with her Heavenly Family.  Waiting for all of us in due time.  I personally will miss her and that wonderful smile.  I will continue praying for her daughter Kristin and pray God will comfort us all.

Hey sis...I know your looking down at us...at the moment is the first morning weve gotten together for coffee. As i passed my candy bowl i see your tootsie pops are there and not gone all gone as usual...Dana is just talking 90 miles a minuet,Kristin is sitting and embraceing us and going through the motions, momma is just wishing this was all just a bad dream,Mike is just waiting to raze you and hear you tell him i dont want any breakfast...and we all are wishing you would walk through the door saying"I just want some coffee and whats going on today"....tomorrow we will say our goodbyes...but were all thankfull you've left so many memories for us to talk about. We love you and miss you...we will remember you everyday in our morning coffee's...ourtime. I love you sis...Trish

As much as I need you I will miss you 10 times more. I never thought I would have to go through most of my adult life without you. Right now it still doesn't even feel real. I have been going through the motions. Looking down your street every time I drive by. Wanting to stop in and say hi and wishing I could have known you were sick. We could have fixed you. I pray every hour of every day you will come to me in spirit so I can talk with you, look at you, ask you what happened, and most importantly if I did everything the right way. I want to know your ok. I can honestly say you were the best mom always devoted to me growing up and when Alyssa came you loved her so much it was such an awesome love you shared. Alyssa misses you she sings songs about you and draws pictures for you. We say a prayer for you every night. I feel like this emptiness I feel will never go away. Im trying to stay strong and focused when all I want to do is crumble.  I just keep remembering your voice. Your sweetness your kind big heart. It was like you could read my mind. Sometimes I could call you and you knew exactly the right things to say to make it ok. I will miss everything about you. Your spunky attitude, the way you always said what was on your mind, your gentle push when times were tough, your constant reminder of what's most important,  your constant praises because you were so proud of me, your relationship with Alyssa because you were the best Nonna ever. Holidays will be so hard because you were always there to liven up the party. Bdays because everyone got to hear your beautiful voice sing them happy birthday. Your loud laugh, your numerous sneezes. Your sweet I love you's out of the blue just because. You were my best friend,sounding board and strength. You will be forever missed but never forgotten.

We are so sorry for the loss of your wonderful and precious Donna.  We know what it is like to lose someone so close, and it is not easy, however you will be lifted up in prayers each and every day, and Donna is now at peace in heaven saving a place for you all.  As you know through Christ you will have peace and comfort one day, and once the intense heartache subsides some, you will have joy remembering your sweet Donna.
