She was born September 3, 1957 in Savannah, Georgia to Anna Maria Dilling and Harvey Ulysses Simpson. Donna was a strong, independent woman. She was known for her stubbornness and a knack for telling things like it is. Donna lived in Savannah, Georgia and Colorado before moving to Houston, Texas.
Donna loved to watch football and baseball. The Tennessee Titans and Houston Astros were her two favorite sports teams. Every Sunday you would find football on the television. She loved going to Mexican restaurants with family and friends and having a margarita.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Anna Marie Dilling and Harvey Ulysses Simpson; husband, Daniel Jozwiak and grandson, Anthony Walter Scott. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Jozwiak and son-in-law, Stafford Fontenot, Jr.; sister, Helen Missy Vajdak; grandson, Marcus Lee Scott; uncle, Richard Simpson; niece, Charity Renee Vajdak and nephew-in-law, Clay Swarb; great nieces, Cayla Renee McCord, Skylar Dionne McCord and Logan Lorene Brewer; great nephew, Jaden Wayne Brewer and great-great niece, Chloe Joy Conerway.
She was loved by many and will be missed by family and friends.
Visitation with the family was held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services began at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the R.L. Waltrip Venue. Interment followed at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Chappell Hill, Texas.
