Donna Marie Hackett went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents William J. and Alice T. McLaughlin. She graduated from Bishop Guilfoyle High School in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She married the love of her life, William (Bubba) Hackett, on November 5, 2011. They lived together in Huffman, Texas where Donna was a member of St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.
Donna was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud Nanny. She had a beautiful, selfless soul and a smile that could light up a room. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her nephew, Michael Dietzel, and brother-in-law, Rodney Ochoa. Her legacy of love will live on through her 2 children, Daniel May, and Lisa Martinez and husband Gilbert Martinez, as well as her 10 grandchildren Emilia Martinez, Benjamin and Madeline Wilson, Cameron, Reese, and Tyler Langbein, Logan and Laini Ackerman, and Eric and Sarah McCorkle. She is also survived by her 3 sisters Barbara Stull and husband Kurt Stull, Carol Ochoa, and Alice McLaughlin, her stepmother Beverly J. McLaughlin, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a visitation at Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039) on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church (827 Sheldon Rd, Channelview, Texas 77530) on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a burial at San Jacinto Funeral Home and Memorial Park (14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015) at 11:30 a.m..
