

Donna Elaine Brooks Bond departed this life on January 20, 2021. She was born on January 12, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to the late Lillie Mae Littleton, and the late Raymond Brooks. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dimple, and Brady Littleton; her favorite aunt Annie Mae Jones, and her younger sister Twylah Veasley.
Donna graduated Klein High School in 1976. She went on to continue her education by attending Bishop College in Dallas Texas where she received her Associates Degree. She excepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church lead by the late Rev W.H. Dudley for more than 30 years. She later joined the Church Without Wall in 1990, under the leadership of Dr. Ralph D. West. Donna would also go on to be one of the founding members of Professional Black Women’s Enterprise (PBWE).
She of course, being the very first child was the apple of everyone eyes. She would grow and be a pioneer woman, paving a much smoother path for her siblings to follow.
She leaves to cherish her memory one Daughter, Deloris “DeeDee” Bond-Smith, a son-in-law Quency Smith, three grandchildren- Isaiah Smith, Savannah Smith, and Twylah Smith; two Sister, “Sann” Edwards, and Jacqueline Veasley-Davis, brother-in-law Royal Davis; one Brother, Joe N Veasley; God-Brother, Mayor Sylvester Turner; Best-Friend Carolyn Thomas two nieces, Jelessa Robinson, and Joenea Veasley; two nephews, Robert Davis, and Joseph Edwards Jr.; three great-nieces and one great-nephew; and a host of relatives and close friends.
