

Donald Joe Pringle, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 3. 2022 in Houston, Texas. He was born March 26, 1932 in Paris, Texas to parents, Inez Ida Austin Pringle and Eli Davis Pringle. Shortly after birth moving to Houston, Texas. After graduating from Milby High School in Houston, Texas, he joined the Coast Guard during Korea. During this time, he met the love of his life, Carolyn Ruth Knepple from Houston, Texas. After serving his country and being honorably discharged, Donald and Carolyn were married on September 7, 1956 at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Donald went on to work for Houston Lighting and Power for over forty years until retirement. During this time, he donated countless hours with the Sunshine Children and various organizations in need of his help, time and money. He and Carolyn also enjoyed traveling to new and exciting places around the world as well as the love for their animals and family were an important part of their life.
Donald's wife Carolyn proceeded him in death. He is survived by his loving daughter, Anne-Marie Pringle Paul and husband, Eric Paul of Houston, Texas, and his son, David Scott Pringle and wife Maria Teresa of Jacksonville, Florida. His son Donald Lloyd Pringle proceeded him in death. Don had seven grandchildren, Moses (Mo) Walker (wife Lacy), Nathan Paul, James Paul (wife Elisabeth), Mary Christie Paul, Zack Paul and Amanda Kirkbride Pringle, and Katie Anne Paul, who proceeded him in death. He also has seven great grandchildren, Caroline Walker, Zoe Walker, Khameron Walker, Myla Paul, Liam Paul, AnnaBelle Paul and Jaxon Paul.
A visitation for Donald will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
