His heavenly Father called Donald Edwin Marquart home on November 1st, 2011 at the age of 69, from Navasota Hospital after an illness. Donald resided in Richmond, Texas. Donald was the first of three children of Edwin L. and Anna F. (Lang) Marquart; he was born on October 8th, 1942, in Buffalo, New York. In 1960, he graduated from Clarence Central High School in Clarence, New York. Donald went on to graduate from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and Trinity Lutheran Seminary, also in Columbus. He was ordained in 1968 at Town Line Lutheran Church in Town Line, New York; the first in the church’s 115 year history. Donald pastored churches in Cameron, La Marque, Stamford, Haskell, Roscoe, Ganado, Giddings and Galveston, Texas. Since 1997, he owned and operated PD Research, researching deeds and other courthouse documents in Fort Bend, Austin, Waller, Galveston, Wharton, Matagorda, Montgomery and numerous other counties for surveyors and loan institutions. He is preceded in death by his parents; Donald is survived by his sons, Michael D. Marquart and wife DeAnna, of Houston, Texas, Gregory D. Marquart and wife April, of Sachse, Texas; daughter, Leah Beth Ellis and husband Joe, of Houston; three grandsons, Andrew Ellis and Cody Marquart of Houston, Texas and Wyatt Marquart of Sachse, Texas; brother, Richard Marquart and wife Ann, of Clarence Center, New York; sister, Gale Campbell and husband Scott, of Tonawanda, New York and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving him is his special friend and companion, Peggy Simmang. A Memorial Service was held at the First Presbyterian Church, in Rosenberg, Texas, on December 3rd, 2011. The celebration of Don’s life was officiated by Reverend Rhonda Detenbeck.
