Donald (Doc) Frazier of Houston, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014. Dr. Frazier was born on November 3, 1944, to Roy Woodrow Frazier and Mary Elizabeth Ingram Frazier. The son of a minister, Donald traveled and moved frequently. He was exposed to music early in his life, and played professionally in his early twenties. His proudest moments were when his sons graduated from college and pursued noble vocations in life. Next would be his son's marriages and "The Adorables" as he called his grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Alvaleen (Abbie) Prentice Frazier on January 30, 2010, and by his brother, Micheal Anthony Frazier. He is survived by his wife, Susan Frazier; two sons, Jeremy and wife Rebecca, and Jason and his wife Angela; step daughters, Tessa and Alecia Chadwick; seven grandchildren whom he adored; brother, Dr. Roy Frazier, Jr. and his wife Linda; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in the chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. A Celebration Service honoring Donald's life will be held at 11 am Wednesday, July 9, 2014, also in the chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. His service will be conducted by Rev. Jason M. Frazier and Rev. Calvin Durham. The interment will follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
