Don Langdon

Donald Lee Langdon On January 31, 2013, Donald Lee Langdon returned to his Heavenly Father and his Heavenly family; his mom and dad; 5 brothers and sisters; and his beloved son, Danny. He grew up in Garden Villas, Houston, and graduated from Milby High School in 1949. After graduating Don joined the U.S. Air force and November 8, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Edith Mary Ball. After his stint in the Air force, Don worked at Shell for 7 years, and then began a lengthy career in the construction business. Don leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of 61 years, Edith; daughter Donna Gehret and husband Randy; son Randy and wife Reena; and son Michael, who was with him on his life's journey to the end. He is also survived by his sister Lois Henderson and husband Bob; sister-in-law, Betty Langdon; daughter-in-law, Donna Lou; grandchildren Lance, Angie, Nala and Jacob Langdon and Kayla Gehret. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends and his little dog Mitzy. We all give thanks for the life of this wonderful man, this child of God, and we will miss him dearly. Visitation will begin at 2pm followed by a funeral service at 3pm on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 5700 Lawndale, Houston, TX., 77023.
