Domingo “Mingo” Luna Jr., 77, formerly of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in Missouri City, Texas. Domingo Luna Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Domingo Luna Sr. and Juanita D. Luna of Sugar Land, Texas; and by his brothers Herminio and Raymond Luna.
He is survived by his sisters, Angie Rosillo of Turlock, California and Janie Rodriguez of Sugar Land, Texas; his brothers, Miguel Luna (Birdie) of Spring Branch, Texas, Joe Luna of Houston, Texas, and John Luna (Rosa) of Carrollton, Texas; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Domingo Luna Jr. was born on October 13, 1943 in Sugar Land, Texas. He graduated from Dulles High School in 1962. He served in the US Air Force and shortly after, began his career at ExxonMobil, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and served as a member of their Memorial Team where he proudly honored his fellow veterans by playing TAPS on Memorial Day at the VA Cemetery.
A visitation for Domingo Luna Jr. will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the American Heritage Funeral Home 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 followed by a morning visitation on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM and a Funeral Service from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the American Heritage Funeral Home. Rite of Committal Service will follow at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
