Dollie's parents were migrant farmers. She grew up on a farm when the family settled down in Malone, Texas in 1946. She graduated from Bynum High School in 1949. On April 14, 1954 she married the love of her life, Lloyd Ander. Lloyd worked for Humble Oil and Refining Co. and his work took them all over the state and living in different places. They lived in Corpus Christi, Texas from 1959-1968 before finally settling down in Houston.
Dollie was very involved in the churches and would help out in any way she could in her free time. Also in her free time she enjoyed painting.
Dollie is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ander; her son Joe Ander; and her sister Sandy Perryman.
Dollie was preceded in death by her son Christopher Ander; her father Joe Jasper Schulte and her mother Nadine Ward Schulte; her sisters Carole Clay and Barbara Wrinkle.
A visitation for Dollie will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
