We started our careers together. You are truly a cut above the rest of us and we all strived to be better because of you. I miss and love you dear brother!

I just learned of Dmitrijs' passing.  I only worked with him briefly in Germany but he always came across as a sharp, forward-thinking man with a clear vision of the direction his career field should take in the future.  He certainly wasn't one to sit back and spectate.  I was shocked and appalled to hear that he'd been taken from us so suddenly and at such a young age.  My heart and prayers go out to his family and all who knew and loved him.

Dima (Дима) was a great friend and only other Latvian that I have known while being in Active Duty Air Force. We been stationed together at Fairchild AFB, WA, our first base. I remember his Nissan Z – a two seat car that wasn’t very practical when going out – we usually took someone else’s car. It was simple times back then, in early years when we were junior enlisted. We had great time together – spending time together and supporting each other. 

We helped each other with naturalization process, back then the process wasn’t streamlined as it is nowadays. We were from the same country - Latvia and shared the same first name with the same unique spelling.

We parted ways in 2011 but I kept in touch with him until recently. We shared our challenges with being born outside of United States and gave each other encouragement to push thru, to show others that U.S. military is meritocracy.  I will always have a found memory of him and our time together. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed…

Dima just took my Heart with himself. So hard to stand on my feeds without him. He was my Angel, he made my life Colourful, he showed me Happiness, he was my big Supporter in my all aspect of my life. I wish i was with him till end of my life. God Bless you my Dima, My Angel, My Soul ….🤍need you next to me 🫶
