Dianne Elaine Been

Dianne Elaine (Clementz) Been passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Houston Methodist West Hospital in Houston, Texas, after a three year struggle with cancer. At her side were loving family members from the Houston vicinity. Dianne was born to Ernest J. and Margaret E. (Coulson) Clementz on April 18, 1948 in Valentine, Nebraska

Dianne was united in marriage to Gary W. Been in Houston, TX on June 14, 1986. One child was born to this union, Jessica Nicole (Been) Risvold (Caleb) of Springville CA. Dianne’s children from a previous marriage are Katherine Elaine (Sell) Mitchell of Great Falls MT, Thomas DeWayne Sell (Jill) of Winner SD, Brian Patrick Sell (Deena) of Mountian Grove MO, and Julia Louise Sell of Sioux Falls SD.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 32 years, her five children and thirteen grandchildren: AJ Sell, TJ Sell, Taylor Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, Tristen Sell, LaReesa Mitchell, Spencer Mitchell, Cathern Sell, Ryan Sell, Clay Sell, Callie Risvold, Lacey Risvold, and Connor Risvold; and four great grandchildren: Neveah Sell, Isaiah Sell, Malayeh Sell, as well as one great granddaughter who is due April 2019; one brother, Robert Joe Clementz of Sebring OH, and one sister Janet Adele Clementz-Garza (David) of San Antonio TX; two nephews, Jason Wilson of Houston TX, and Justin Wilson of Hampstead NC; two nieces Rebecca Clementz of Warren OH, and Robin Clementz of Seabrook TX; and a host of loving cousins.

Very special friends of Dianne’s also at her bedside were Sandra Hunger Hendley of Tomball TX, and Dina and Mike Connolly of Houston TX.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents: Margaret Elaine (Coulson) Clementz and Ernest John Clementz.

May she forever ride her favorite horse, Brownie, wild and free, across the flowering plains of Heaven.

A private ceremony will follow cremation. Memorial contributions may be made in Dianne’s honor to Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society.
