Diane came into this world on September 6, 1958, in Houston, TX, as the cherished daughter of Charles and Ruth Castillo. Having graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1978, she embraced a life defined by compassion and love, endearing herself as a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and treasured friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. On July 25, 2023, at the age of 64, she peacefully departed, surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.
Diane's memory is lovingly embraced by her devoted husband, Martin C.Sanchez, and her two children, Leslie A. Sanchez and Jonathan C. Sanchez. She was also cherished by her son-in-law, Danny Guzman, and her adored grandchild, Gabriel Guzman. Surviving alongside are her caring sisters: Mary Alice DeLeon, Albia Coronado, and Eleanor Aguilar, as well as her two brothers, Charles D. Castillo, and Raoul T. Castillo. In addition, she leaves behind numerous loving cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom hold treasured memories of their time with her.
Before her passing, Diane was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles D. Castillo and Ruth Castillo.
Following 42 years of dedicated service, Diane retired from her position at Chase bank as an Executive Specialist. Those who were close to her can attest to her passion for spending cherished moments with family, often finding solace and happiness at their beloved family country home in Shelby, TX.
Diane's legacy will endure through the everlasting imprint of her kindness, delightful humor, boundless compassion, and the unyielding love she bestowed upon her family.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of Angels Saturday September 9th, 2023, 11am service with guest arriving at 10am and a rosary service at 10:30am. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support they have received during this challenging time. Diane’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of love and creativity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
