Diana Zahn Gunnels

Diana graduated from Aldine High School in 1965. She met her high school sweetheart Jerry, who lived across the street from her. They married in June of 1965. Jerry passed away in a boating accident in 1976. She then married Don and had 46 years of marriage with him.

Diana had many careers. She was a dental assistant, real estate agent and at one time owned Cleaning and Hot Shot businesses.

Diana was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved animals, plants, shopping, poker and spending treasured time with loved ones. During her retirement years, she fostered many dogs and cats. She was very passionate about finding them forever homes.

She is preceded in death by parents, Freddie and Thelma Tupper, and Willie and Barbara Maynor; first husband, Jerry Zahn; brother, David Tupper; stepsons, Donald Gunnels Jr., and Michael Gunnels.

Diana is survived by husband Donald Gunnels; daughters, Julie Kurukji, Jill Eppinette; foster son, Anthony Harden; stepson, Robert Gunnels; grandchildren, Brittney, Dylan, Danielle, Jerry, Alyssa, Alexander, Ashton, Sean, Emily, and Robbie; great grandchildren, Christopher, Amara and Everleigh; siblings, John Maynor, Carol Shifferly, and Jana Tupper.
