Dexter Elroy Smith

He attend Forest Brook High School and later achieved his GED from the University of Houston. He gave his life to Christ in his early age and united with Greater New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a member of ILA Local Union # 24 as a longshoreman for over five years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Deborah and Lonnie Smith and brother, Ronnie Smith.

He is survived by his three sisters, Linda Owens (Lawrence deceased); Sharon S. Love, and Alice S. Silvestain (Darryl); his three brothers, Kenneth D. Smith (Wanda deceased), Verlin R. Smith (Ruth), and Stanley E. Smith.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Elizabeth Smith, Eva Smith, and Kayla Smith and granddaughter, Jadah Ivory, other family members and friends.
