In 1974 he was united in marriage to Laura A. Brown. To this 25 years union two children were born, Dexter T. Nash and Germichael L. Nash. In 2006 Dexter meets Remonia Darden and shared 14 years until his passing. Within that Dexter acquired an extended family, a daughter, Rejana Darden.
Dexter attended St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, Pastor Charles W. Darden. He graduated from Jeff Davis Sr. High School. He worked for Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company for many years. Then worked for Pepper Lawson, where he acquired a passion for construction. Continuing his career with Tom Mac Inc. He worked for 30 years until his illness. To many of his close friends he was known as and called Cowboy. With the love for Zydeco music and dancing.
He was preceded in death by both parents O.C. Demery and Rosie Lewis.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted Companion, Remonia Darden, Sons: Dexter T. Nash, Germichael L. Nash, Daughter-in-law: Farrah Nash, Step-daughter: Rejana Darden, two Grandsons: Germichael L. Nash Jr., and Dailen Nash, Granddaughters: Ashleigh K. Nash, Desirae T. Nash, Keilah A. Nash, Blake Darden, Great-grandchildren: Londynne D. Nash, and Kaiden K. Nash. Brother Ronald Demery. Sisters: Bernette Bell, Dorothy Demery, and Charlotte Thomas. A host of other relatives and friends.
