Desmond DuRey "Cat" Tyler was born on May 14, 1981 to Regina Morrow Tyler and David Tyler. He confessed his faith in the Lord at a young age and was baptized at Nazarene Baptist Church by Rev. Therie Washington. Desmond was educated in the North Forest Independent School District and graduated from Forest Brook High School, Class of 1999. He worked as a Foreman at Amber, L.P., where he was a very loyal and dedicated employee for many years. Desmond was married to the love of his life, Ruby LaCour Tyler. Together, they had one adorable son, Desmond "DJ" Jr. He was the joy of his family, and along with cousin, Marcus, would take the lead in planning countless family gatherings. These traditions will continue as a testament to his legacy of love. Desmond was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Irma Tyler and Lawrence Tyler. He leaves to treasure his memory, his loving wife, Ruby, beloved son, Desmond Jr.; mother, Regina Tyler, father, David Tyler; grandparents, David Jr. and Bobbie Morrow; siblings, Chauntisha (Kelvin) Matthews, Cemetria (Melvin) Bates, and Brandon Tyler; aunts and uncles, David and Joyce Schells, Angi and Michael Williams, and Joanni and Nate Hawkins; cousins, Marcus Morrow, Jomoso Wilson, Dontrell Morrow, Chalon (Demetrius) Mayes, Mian (Kenneth) Bryant, Amicha (Courtney) Grigsby and Ronnitra (Terrance) Tucker; father and mother-in-law, Billy Joe Sr. and Betty LaCour; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shandra and Kevin Garner, Dewayne Jr. and Nicole Loville, and Billy Jr. and Connie LaCour; and a host of nieces, one great-niece, nephews, great-aunts and uncles, cousins and dear friends.
