Diane Bailey welcomed a baby girl into the world. They lovingly named
their daughter Deona Wiggins. She was the first born of two children
and was raised in Houston, Texas. Deona graduated from Aldine
Senior High in the Aldine Independent School District in May 1995.
Deona studied at the University of Houston-Downtown, enriching her
knowledge and deep-seated passion for communication, marketing
and public speaking.
Born with a natural gift for creativity, Deona found joy in every
brushstroke, every stitch and every creation that emerged from her
skilled hands. Her artwork and crafts are a testament to her vibrant
spirit and love for beauty. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Deona was
known for her generous heart and warm personality.
Deona shared her life with her love, Dennis Gibson who preceded her in
death. From their years together, they welcomed four children, Dennis
James Gibson, Dashona Gibson, Devion Gibson (preceded in death)
and Denesia Marie Gibson. Deona loved spending time with her family
and enjoyed listening to music from her favorite entertainer, Usher.
Deona was a free-spirited woman who was independent, creative, and
committed to getting the most out of her life.
On June 2, 2024, Deona became a member of The Fellowship of
Faith Christian Center in Houston, Texas and committed her life to
Christ. Deona expressed her desire to serve in the youth ministry as a
mentor to offer guidance, support and wisdom gained from her own
experiences.
On Thursday, June 27, 2024, Deona Wiggins transitioned and was
welcomed into her heavenly home and gained her divine crown. She
leaves to cherish her memories; her father, Donald Wiggins; mother,
Diane Wiggins; eldest son, Dennis James Gibson; daughters, Dashona
Gibson and Denesia Marie Gibson; sister, Dalana Bryant; great-
grandmother, granddaughter, nephew and a host of aunts, uncles,
nieces and many special friends.
