Dennis A. Robinson

Dennis Alfonzo Robinson was born on July 19, 1959, in East Chicago Indiana, to the union of Gloria Berry and William Robinson. He was the fifth child of six children. The Robinson family moved to Gary, Indiana in 1966. Dennis attended West Side High School in Gary, Indiana and graduated in 1977. He served in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1980. He then moved to Houston, Texas in July of 1981 until his departure on February 7, 2024.

Dennis was an avid sports lover and loved fishing. He was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church at the young age of nine and rededicated his life in December of 2023 at Christ Temple

Apostolic Church.

He worked multiple jobs, primarily in the Telecommunications, Cable, Electric/Power and Retail Store Management industries to support himself and his family. For more than thirty years, he was also the proud business owner of Big Sky Electric, working as a highly sought-after electrician and construction contractor.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, William and Gloria Robinson; brother-in-law, Fred Hickerson; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves to cherish his beloved family; his wife, Verna Robinson; children, Lakita (Robinson) Godbolt (Trudy Jenkins), Jennyffer Dave and Dennis James Robinson; five siblings, Phyllis Hickerson, Albert Robinson, Theta Robinson, William Robinson (Mary) and Jeffrey Robinson; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
