Debbie was born on June 2, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended John F. Kennedy High School, class of 1972. As an adult Debbie, her parents and siblings relocated to Houston, Texas in 1977 due to the booming job market. She worked many years for National Oilwell Varco & KBR as she raised her three children.
Debbie was a dedicated sister, mother and she truly loved her role as Nana. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Randy & Bonnie LaCount, sister and brother-in-law Lori & Roy Worsham, sister-in-law Barbara LaCount; her two daughters and son-in-law’s Nicole & Scott Munson and Tiffany & Jeremiah Adams; her son and daughter-in-law Corey & Chelsea Roberson, and eleven precious grandchildren: Brennan Munson, August Munson, Kayla Tesla, Ashley Tesla, Paige Gandy, Kylie Gandy, Cade Roberson, Mackenna Marshall, Leighna Roberson, Cooper Roberson and Judson Roberson.
Debbie had a vibrant personality and her love for music kept a smile on her face as she danced her way through life. She made friends everywhere she went and her heart was at its fullest caring for animals and spending the holidays with her family.
In 2011, Debbie was diagnosed with bladder cancer and while succeeding in remission in years 2012 & 2017, the cancer returned for the third time in 2019 for her final fight. Throughout the entire cancer journey Debbie showed strength and incredible willpower to keep fighting the fight. Her family and friends who witnessed this courageous battle will never forget her strength.
Debbie had a love for our Lord, Jesus Christ and we are confident she walks alongside the angels. She will watch over those of us left behind. Our hearts smile thinking about her reunion with her beloved parents Maynard & Delores LaCount as well as brother Gary LaCount . This fills our hearts with peace until we meet again.
