Known as being an encourager, Debbie’s ministry was sending cards to everyone in her church, Sharpstown Baptist, where she was a member since 1976. While at Sharpstown, Debbie was very involved in the Singles Group, the church choir, and the prison ministry. She also led the College and Career Sunday School class and touched many lives there.
Debbie worked in insurance all her life and gained many friends there over the years.
In 2015 she moved to the Heights of North Houston permanently due to complications with Multiple Sclerosis, among other health problems. She was active in the nursing home community, first as the Secretary of the Resident Council and at then at the time of her death she was the Chaplain of the Council. She continued her encouragement and made sure to recognize everyone’s birthdays and always made sure to include a little token gift. She shared Jesus with everyone she knew and will be greatly missed.
