Dayna Marie Neal

Dayna Marie Neal, 66, of Harris County died Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Born June 25th, 1955 in Rush County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Donald and Sylvia (Stotsenburg) Neal.

Dayna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Sylvia Neal.

Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Shorter of Chesapeake, Virginia; her son, Aaron Shorter of Winchester, Virginia; and her grandson, Anthony Kovacs. Other survivors include brothers and sisters: Steven (Paula) Neal of Maryville, Tennessee; Lorraine (Steve) McCoy of Houston, Texas; Mona (Greg) Wickizer of Shelbyville, Indiana; Fredrick Neal of Greensburg, Indiana; Michelle (Charles) Willis of Paoli, Indiana; Scott (Sandy) Neal of Indianapolis, Indiana; Michael (Vicki) Neal of Greensburg, Indiana.

She graduated from Morton Memorial High School, Knightstown, IN in 1973, and attended Ball State University, Muncie IN where she studied music.

Dayna’s passions were playing and singing music, painting and sketching, puzzles and word games, motivating and inspiring others, and she was an avid reader.

She loved and cherished her children, grandson, and her family.

Memorial Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home located at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX. 77095. Contact Information- (281) 345-6061.

Visitation is Friday, July 30th from 1:00 pm to 2:00pm and the service is from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm.
