Just as your Colorado friends were sad when y'all moved to Louisiana, I, along with many others, were happy and blessed by your arrival! 

I have a feeling that Dave, Joan & the girls left behind GREAT influence and FUN memories for all who had the blessing of knowing them as a young family... and now, to know their Godly influence continues throughout the years and generations of the girls and THEIR families. 

What a wonderful legacy to leave behind with the ASSURANCE of our salvation through Jesus Christ, that eventually, we will ALL get to meet and see each other someday soon in heaven. 




Dear Joan and daughters,  

Our hearts go out to you as you grieve the loss of your dear husband and father.  We  remember Dave from those important and precious years at Christ Community Church when you graciously hosted us in your Hampden Heights home as new arrivals in Colorado and at CCC.  Dave always had such a gentle, kind and generous demeanor.  He was generous with his time and energy serving others, as well as contributing his beautiful voice to our CCC choir and the quartet.  Raymond recalls that the Sunday of our very first visit to Christ Community,  your family, out for a bike ride, stopped by at our house to again welcome us.  We remember how sad we were when you moved away to Louisiana.  God’s blessings to you all during this time of sad parting.

Dave was a vital member of our church family of Trinity Church in Covington, Louisiana many years ago. Our little choir was so blessed to have his beautiful voice share in solos  from time to time. My favorite memory of Dave was singing “O Holy Night” durng the Christmas season! We send our heartfelt sympathies to Joan, Shelly, Julie and Laura, as well as their extended family.  May each one find comfort in their memories  of a sweet husband and daddy!
