He was born in Monterey, Tennessee on December 19, 1946. David graduated from Monterey High School and received a Masters of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He was married to Arsenia Lacsina Stringer on April 26, 1969, for 54 years.
David served 26 years in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Loadmaster and Retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1993.
He was a member of Tan Son Nhut Association, Air Force Sergeants Association, and had a passion for gardening, loved the outdoors, and any Tennessee Volunteer Sports.
He is survived by his wife, Arsenia Lacsina Stringer; children, Jennifer Osborne, Brian Stringer, David Stringer, and Cynthia Wlaschin; grandchildren, Alyssa and AJ Osborne, David and Athena Stringer, Tristan, Victoria, and Elizabeth Wlaschin; and sister, Nancy Conley.
A visitation for David will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
