He was born the second of four children on June 26, 1942 in Waco, Texas to the late Jacob Elson (“Jake”) Moore and Maurice (Stelter) Moore. He served in the United States Air Force honorably and was a member of the Space City R/C Club.
Dave lived in the Houston/Katy, Texas area for the majority of his life. He was a devoted Father and Pa-pa who loved to spend time with his family. His door was always open to those in need of a helping hand and he loved to sit around the table playing Skip-bo with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cyndy (English) Moore and sisters, Eleanor Moore and Joan Schatz. He is survived by his daughter, Nita Moore; son, Jacob Moore; daughter-in-law, Jana Moore; granddaughter, Molly Moore; sister, Jean Cryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m, followed immediately by a graveside, on Saturday, April 13, 2019.
